I come from a creative family , none more so than my mum, Heike.
After moving to Ireland, fixing up an old Cottage in the 80s and 90s and enjoying the life style of a Smallholder with Chickens, Ducks and gardening including the planting of Fruit-and Decideous trees and bringing up a Daughter, my path eventually led me to pursue a life in Art.
I went back to fulltime Adult Education and completed a 2 year 'Art and Drama' course, drawing and painting were 2 of the modules. I continued from there to get a Degree in 'Art and Design' at GMIT Galway.
I like to paint most days; I find Inspiration on daily walks and reflecting on places I have been, letting my memory guide me intuitively through a painting; there is an emotional and physical connection to Colour and Texture. Inspired by an inner and outer Landscape, moods in Landscape reflecting moods in us. Looking closer or looking into the distance the shapes and colours repeat themselves, there is a rhythm that connects. Experimenting into the abstract is an objective.
All the materials I use are of an excellent Artist quality
